Kitchen designs we build

Every kitchen is drawn to your room before we cut a single board, so you see the layout, the colours and the handles first. We build L-shaped, U-shaped, galley and one-wall kitchens, kitchens with an island or peninsula, and compact kitchen cabinet designs for small spaces where every corner has to work.

Popular modern kitchen designs in Kenya right now are handle-less fronts with a gola profile, two-tone colours (a dark base with light wall units, or green, grey and wood-grain), tall units with an oven housing, and lighting under the wall units.

Materials: what our kitchen cabinets are made of

Kenyan kitchens get wet, so the carcasses are waterproof (moisture-resistant) MDF by default, and the sink unit always is. Doors can be MDF, wrapped or laminated boards in the colour you choose.

We build frameless cabinets (the standard in Kenya) and fit quality hardware: concealed hinges and drawer runners, with Blum soft-close hinges and premium runners as an option. Granite worktops are quoted as a separate line, so you can compare.

Inside the cabinet

What's inside our kitchen cabinets

A photo shows you the doors. How long a kitchen lasts is decided inside it: the board, the edges, the hinges and the runners. Two quotes can look the same on paper and differ here, so take one of our cabinets apart and see what you are paying for.

Prices in Kenya

Kitchen cabinet prices in Kenya depend mostly on the length of the kitchen in running metres, the board and door finish, the fittings (standard or soft-close) and the worktop. We measure, then give you an itemised quote: boards, fittings, worktop and labour on separate lines.

What affects the price

  • Length in running metres: the main driver. Base units, wall units, tall units and islands each use a different amount of board per metre.
  • Boards and door finish: waterproof MDF carcasses, with MDF, wrapped or laminated doors, or premium melamine boards.
  • Hinges and drawer runners: standard fittings, or Blum soft-close hinges and premium soft-close runners.
  • Handles: standard handles, or a handle-less gola profile.
  • Worktop: granite, quoted as a separate line so you can compare.
  • Cutting, edging and installation: shown as their own lines on the quote.

Frequently asked questions

How much do kitchen cabinets cost in Kenya?

It depends on the length of the kitchen, the board and door finish, the fittings and the worktop. We visit, measure and send an itemised quote showing boards, fittings, worktop and labour separately, so you can adjust the spec to your budget.

What is the best material for kitchen cabinets in Kenya?

For the cabinet boxes (carcasses) we use waterproof, moisture-resistant MDF, and always for the sink unit, because ordinary chipboard swells when it gets wet. Doors can be MDF, wrapped or laminated in the colour you choose.

What are standard kitchen cabinet dimensions?

Our base units are 870 mm high before the worktop and 600 mm deep. Wall units are 300 mm deep and tall units 600 mm deep. We adjust widths to your room so the kitchen fits wall to wall.

Do you make kitchen cabinets for small kitchens?

Yes. Small kitchens are where made-to-measure pays off most: we use corner units, tall storage and drawers instead of shelves so no space is wasted.

Do you install outside Nairobi?

Yes. We are based in Juja and deliver and install across Kenya. Recent jobs include Juja, Karen in Nairobi, Limuru, Nakuru and Narok.

Are you kitchen cabinet makers near me?

We are kitchen cabinet makers and installers based in Juja, working across Nairobi, Kiambu and the rest of Kenya. Send photos of your kitchen on WhatsApp and we will visit, measure and quote.
